I agree to participate in the 'SO-KYOKUSHIN UK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS’ on Saturday 26th April 2025 at Colcot Sports Centre.
I agree to comply with the rules of the competitions that I am participating in and be guided by the Instructor/Referee/Judge in the safest way of undertaking this type of physical competition.
Participation in this tournament is of my own choice and I understand fully the potential risks in taking part, I understand that injuries may occur, but every effort will be made to ensure that this is avoided wherever possible.
I will not hold the referees, judges or any other event official or Officers Barry Kyokushin Karate club or So-Kyokushin UK or anyone appointed by So-KyokushinUK /Barry Kyokushin responsible for any injury incurred during the tournament. If I am fighting in the Cadet Semi Contact / WUKO / clicker / knockdown category of the tournament. I confirm I have seen my doctor and have been passed fit to compete.
If incorrect information is given - i.e wrong height/weight/age, this would invalidate your entry, you could be removed from the tournament, and no refund will be given.

Compulsary Entry Level Kata
SCORE CARD SYSTEM
10th Kyu and 9th Kyu - Taikyoko Sono Ichi
8th Kyu and 7th Kyu - Taikyoko Sono San
6th Kyu and 5th Kyu - Pinan sono Ni
4th Kyu and 3rd Kyu - Pinan sono Yon
2nd Kyu and 1st Kyu - Gekisai Dai
Shodan and above - Gekisai Sho
FOR QUARTER, SEMI AND FINALS, COMPETITORS CAN CHOOSE ANY KYOKUSHIN KATA THAT THEY DIDN'T PERFORM IN PREVIOUS ROUNDS PROVIDING ITS NOT ON THE EXEMPT LIST.
Exempt Kata:
SANCHIN KATA, TENSHO, TEKKI & BASSAI, SOKUGI KATA, ALL URA KATA.
WUKO FIGHTING
WUKO FIGHTING IS FOR SO-KYOKUSHIN MEMBERS ONLY, This fighting is for 10th-9th and 8th kyu grades only and is only for junior students. Fighting is NON-Contact or touch contact ONLY. Categories decided by height.
CLICKER
Open to all to enter.
So-Kyokushin junior members have to be 7th Kyu and above. Categories decided by Height and Age.
CADET SEMI-CONTACT
Open to all ages and grades to enter, Thigh Kicks allowed for all categories. Categories decided by weight, Grade and Age. Body armour is removed from age 14 years and above.
NOVICE KNOCKDOWN
Open to all 18+ adults to enter, must have less that 3 tournament experiences to be considered novice. Categories decided on Weight and experience.
OPEN KNOCKDOWN
Open to all 18+ Adults to enter. Categories decided on weight.
VETERANS KNOCKDOWN
Open to all 40 years and over. Categories will be deiced on weight. Head guards are optional, but not supplied. Gloves and shin pads are compulsory.
